Primary school athletics carnival.
The school is across the road from my house so I wandered across when my son is doing a race.
Some parents have set up for the day, big awnings out, eskies the whole lot.

Just saw a kid who realised he wasn’t going to win and he threw himself to the ground and pretended he was hurt.

We had one for my daughter’s preschool a few months ago. It was a 1hr event and we all came out. Was so much fun to watch the kids just go crazy

He just did his race, doesn’t care what he came, helped pick up another kid, gave everyone a fist bump and went back to chatting.
I went to my sons first Athletics Carnival this year. Thought id take the day off and take the new dog for a decent walk and make a day of it.
The night before i did my hamstring playing a catchup game but thought a bit of light walking would be fine.
Anyways the dog escaped his harness and went bolting for my kid who was mid shotput. Kids were screaming and teachers were freaking out as im hobling about trying to catch this furry mess. Like a scene out of Beethoven ot something.
Another parent helped me wrangle the dog and i couldnt have been more embarrassed or apologetic.
Son gets home and says it was the best thing thats ever happened… hes famous and everyone in the school was saying how cool his dog is… “even the year 6s”

That’s a win!
Bought myself a robot vacuum, sitting on my lounge watching it clean for me.
Best part is watching my cats freak out about it.
Feet up, watching football, got some steaks ready for the bbq later.

Just make sure you don’t set it to vacuum overnight unless you are completely confident that your pets won’t shit on the floor.

Which is why I don’t buy one.
My cat (which I’m fairly sure has anxiety, god bless her) loves shitting in my hallway and outside the bedroom door.
A lovely way to wake up in the morning, open the door and squelch.
She also shits in the shower, which is a lot more manageable.
