Am I the only one that hates that offside call? Possibly the correct decision according to the letter of the law but the French keeper is never saving that, whether the Dutch player is standing there or not.
I get why the Dutch goal was ruled offside but the keeper is absolutely rooted to the spot and wasn’t going to even try and dive
I haven’t seen a replay but I’ll always come down on the side of there being no such thing as passive offside. If you’re in the keepers cone of vision you’re offside. Don’t want to be offside? Don’t be offside.
He wasn’t in his eye line, he was to his side…. The issue they ruled was he impeded the dive to the left.
The fact he hadn’t moved seemed to be ignored
