Fuck the Democrats are just daft. Republicans, a few years ago, were up in arms due to TikTok being Chinese owned (some may remember the comical interview with the CEO were he was repeatedly asked about serving in the Chinese army, despite being Singaporean). They push and push, until the Democrats ban it, affecting millions of youth, businesses and influencers. Trump steps in and un-bans it, winning all of their support.
If the Democrats didn’t ban it, Republicans would’ve gone even deeper down the national security trail and got support that way. I know the Democrats chose the worse option of the two, but it was also a pretty cynical wedge by the GOP. I expect the LNP to do the same here, and because Albanese is absolutely spineless, Labor will very likely do the same as the Democrats over there.
Even for Trump, his inauguration speech was rambling madness… to be followed by another speech immediately after praising his own speech.

The only positive is that the only person who’s a more malignant narcissist than Musk is Trump and he’ll be furious about Musk taking the spotlight off of him during his big moment.
