Thank god for Alfie

the most frustrated man in the country this week finally scores. I feel like that’s gonna relax him and let the goals flow

Like that. Despite us looking a bit ordinary, we’ve had a few good chances. About time we put one away.

Georgevski is really bad.

I like Robbie Thomson though

Fitness always makes it very onesided 70mins onwards. We’ll run over the top of them then.

NPL games always start like this for us. We underestimate them, they start on the front foot and we draw back in as the game goes on. I’m not worried.

Yep, that’s basically the formula of the 'magic of the FFA cup".

This bouzouki is great

Should also improve as our NPL standard players get subbed off for actual decent footballers

Yep. That’s how it seems to go for early FFA Cup matches. 2nd half will be fun.

This half time guy is great.

The BBQ was great

Both my teams have scored.

Life is good

Unironically, yeah it’s pretty good.

We need to move the ball quicker, obvs. Yazbek has been tidy enough but Hof does seem to play it forward more often so that switch might help (esp after the head knock).

And yeah, Harry and McGing have struggled up against Parkhouse who’s been on fire. Signs were there before the goal, even if it came via the arsiest of deflections. Thought it might be one of those nights when the Burgess header stayed out but hopefully that’s knocked the stuffing out of them. 3-1.

Anyone else think Alfie doesn’t look happy out there. Head down, shoulders slumped, even his goal celebration smacked of not wanting to be there.

And now he’s playing Zorba

All half I thought he was just a shit capo.

Just sick of being hacked to pieces

I just think he’s been really frustrated, nothing has been working for him, not playing how he wants.
The goal celebration just felt like “oh thank fuck that finally went in”
