Was meant to fly to NZ for my new job today. Spent the night writhing in agony with food poisoning - now I’m absolutely fucked, no energy, whole body hurts.
On top of that it’s the absolute worst look on day 4…also wondering if I’m going to be able to actually fly tomorrow, on a diet of electrolytes and toast. Brutal.
Did my calf for the second time playing soccer. Missed two games through the calf injury, two more through a straight red that shouldn’t have been a red and now looks like i’ll minimum miss our first semi-final. Frustrating as i’m trying to do it to stay fit and lose weight. The first injury was a very minor tear during training (last 5 mins of the session) and the second injury was just a weird slow and steady build up on pain on the other side of my calf from the first injury.
Got to agree with that, as someone who was perpetually injured during the season and “doing it for fitness” (1 game and 1 training session a week does not create fitness, unfortunately).
Yeah I’ll be really pushing it in the off season , we’re doing 5 aside as well. Just frustrating as i’ve never had the issue for the past 3 years. Only seems to have occurred this year after training. The irony is that, in previous years, we’ve trained significantly less
