There are slums and refugee camps in war torn nations around the world that appeal more than living in Melbourne.

But even in those places thereâll still be at least one Victorian telling anyone who will listen that âMelbourne is better than Sydneyâ.
âJust like the lattes, these tents are deconstructed, and the latrine pits smell like the graffiti filled lanewaysâ
Wanderers are so embarrassed by the paltry RBB turnout, theyâve reduced the price of active support tickets to $20 for the Mariners game.
I got spammed for 2 for 1 tickets yesterday too.
No opt out option as well, which Iâm pretty sure itâs illegal.
it is. ACCC for those spammy scum
I thought their numbers behind the goal looked decent last Saturday. That sideline opposite the camera was abysmally empty though.
Itâs Fornaroli we are talking about here. Not a Sydney-sider.
Perth is a lovely place to live, they wouldnât be able to pay me enough to ditch it for Melbourne.
I think I posted it somewhere above in this thread, but the GA and RBB (i.e. behind both goals) is only $20 it seems, not just for the Mariners game but it was for the last game as well. It looks like âfamily zoneâ opposite the RBB is always $20, while RBB is often $20 but sometimes $30.
Pretty much the cheapest tickets in the league from what I can see, except for Perth which also have $20 GA.
And that sideline would be the non corporate side, right? So I imagine that is where most people would be sitting?
Thatâs what I would think.
I doubt Juric will ever play more than 5 mins most weeks. Heâs busted
I admire the sentiment. The article is a bit disjointed and I think it could have been articulated better, but weâve been banging on about this for years. Itâs good that itâs coming from a general sports journalist rather than a journo that regularly reports on football.
Send him an email with positive feedback and suggestions, everyone should, I did.
Agreed it was a decent article, but also I suspect helpful that we have some decent policing at Allianz, even at the away end.
At a different ground, under different police control a lot of those WSW fence jumpers would have been dragged.
Interesting that SFC pays for any seat damage. Wonder if it would be more effective to also have more limited safe standing at the away end.
(And itâs not just football that has safe standing. MCG also has a few small areas at the rear of the lower bowl for the AFL⊠and they get pretty roudy)
Iâm reasonably confident that the away team actually gets billed for damage to the seats, I know we do at CommBank . At the old sfs we averaged around $800 of damage a game, they charge $135 per seat from memory
The seats fold, no need to damage them
But I want to prove how tough I am!
We didnât partake but had no problem with Bay 19 at Kogarah getting fucked up.
