Is it just me, or have there been an abnormal amount of Red Cards issued in the first 4 rounds of the season. Almost every game it seems has seen a Red card issued.
I know the referees are trying to ‘crack down’ on dangerous challenges, but it honestly seems like overkill, especially with VAR intervention. It’s not as if every game is having Kevin Muscat v Adrian Zahra challenges, or every team has a Vinnie Jones in their backline.
Players could just stop committing red card offenses

Assume the only thing he packed at this stage was Perth’s old celery cap. He’s sat out to collect his full pay cheque before and he ain’t going to Qatar either way, so would be interesting to see just how they’ve squeezed him in.
