Couldnāt give a fuck about a centre of excellence to be honest. Iād rather see any money we get going to make it cheaper for people to play the game or for better facilities around the country for players.
Itās not about where youād rather see the money go. Itās an example of the gaping disparity in funding full stop. Everyone knows it. This at least puts figures on it with concrete examples. Its shameful.

I canāt comment on whether he is the right āpersonalityā but football has needed someone like this for a long time - someone who can lobby governments and drum up funding.

100% agree, itās basically government funding for the clubs to develop property and absolutely not what we should be calling for. It just grinds my gears when muppets say āthereās no money for supporting grassroots/womenās footballā when we know AFL and NRL are at the teat. This graphic is great to demonstrate that.

Disappointing that we play probably all our lowest crowd opponents during December January holidays. Seems a much better point for a big blue or derby than a home game against the nux or MacArthur
First one is 29th Dec. Maybe some chance folks will be off that day.
Second one is a public holiday. Much more likely folks will be off that day, at least.
All evening/ early evening games.
And almost no Sunday games.

Yeah. We have 26 rounds and there are 11 opposition clubs, so it means some clubs will play us three times.
Expansion to a 16 team comp, and a 30 round season canāt come soon enough.
