Sortirio gets an extra 2 years. How is there not a better young Kiwi player that deserves a chance? Criminal lack of end product.
I don’t rate him as a technical player at all but he hasn’t exactly been a weak link in this Nix team. Sotirio is very fast and Talay has been using him to stretch defences, giving guys like Davila more space to weave their magic. You can’t say it hasn’t been working. Davila has scored 7 goals and Sotirio has notched more assists this season than every other season combined.
I’m not sure I’d have given him another two years (maybe one?) but its hard not to argue he’s doing a job in their system.
Pace merchants are fine at this level but he has no upside. Find an equally quick 18 year old or 3 and develop him rather than an already developed player who 5 odd coaches havent been able to get anything out of and continues to play like an NPL level player head down, no touch and no spatial awareness. If I’m a Nux fan I’d rather get a young Kiwi lad rather than him.

He has got some time. But Sortiro has started a few times when McCowatt could have. You’ve named the player I was thinking of but had forgotten!!!
McCowatt is a proper player, an absolute lock for Europe once he geta some minutes. Next year he will be a huge player.
