HAL Transfers and Rumours 1914-18 (the Gavrilo Princip error code)

Partnering with a Chinese club in 2024, that’s a bold move.

The Auckland Black Knights’ motto should be “I’ll bite yer ankles!” but in Maori.

Time for me to pretend Im a mod and suggest people here if theyre not posting transfer rumours: Auckland Football Club - The Football Kingz are back!

Title of this thread is "transfers and rumors’, and right now there’s a rumour about the club name. Thread title says nothing about the HAL rumors pertaining to the HAL transfers… and don’t get me started on the outdated acronym!

IAL? Or for the women, LAL? ALs?

ALM and ALW works for me.

Naming rights sponsors can pay me if they want me to use their name in any way. Until then, pass.

Are you saying your open for thread naming sponsors? I might be able to organise something with the Members Bar at the Ashfield Polish Club Pty Ltd. We could name the thread: MBATAPCPL ALM Transfers and Rumours 23/24

What? And put offside all our German and Russian posters?

Hey, it’s about time we invade something of ourselves! It’s been since 56 years since we invaded something!

Dunno.

Have yas been working on that charging tanks with horses thing?

Yes we have actually. We’ve found it’s easier to just go over to Germany and steal them before they invade.

Although interesting fact that there, the story you mention is actually a nice bit of propaganda from the Nazis. The story you mention happened on the first day of the war when German forces had broken through the border and Polish troops had begun to retreat. A cavalry regiment was ordered north, after which they encountered German troops resting in the open. The Polish troops routed the German troops and while resting, German armoured recon units came into contact with them and forced a retreat with heavy machinegun fire. There was never any tanks involved and there was never any charge.

The rumour came about because journalist were brought up the next day, after Germany armour had reached the area and an Italian journalist mistakenly wrote to his paper about the bravery of Polish troops attacking Germany armour.
