HAL Transfers and Rumours 1914-18 (the Gavrilo Princip error code)

Scrap the cap and we don’t have to care about this stuff anymore

Wanderers apparently looking at Moresche - who previously played for Central Coast, currently at Nanjing City in the Chinese League 1.

Moresche left Central Coast for a stint at Basra in Iraq, and then has gone to China. Mariners signed him from the Singapore League.

Very underwhelming if true.

You would have to be keen to have a stint in Basra

To be fair Moresche won silverware at Parramatta Stadium, as opposed to the rest of the WSW roster.

I hope he doesn’t go there. I have very fond memories of him in the green and white for Geylang International in Singapore Premier League and would have to have to pretend he doesn’t exist anymore.

There are some seriously uninspiring-looking signings this off-season.

He’ll probably be uninspiring and below par (not Janjetovic below par…) until we play them, and then he’ll be a complete brick wall and just be saving everything.

Hopefully the young Australian and NZ players can take their opportunities this season then. With the AL clubs being poor meaning the quality of foreigners is substandard, perhaps it is their best chance in years

A new Austrian for the A League? We need to find out his shoe size, stat!

They’re going to make the Nationality column of the spreadsheet they submit really narrow so that it truncates, and attempt to pass him off as domestic.

The APL would probably just let it happen without checking, too.

As much as I’d loved for us to get him this transfer makes heaps of sense for Sainsbury and the Mariners

Somebody on another forum I was browsing through my lunch break reckons Newcastle are looking at this guy.

He may just have THE WORST^ stats out of any Brazilian to have played in the A-League.

If signed, he may^^ just wind up being the worst^^^ foreign player ever.

^Based on a brief peruse of his Wikipedia which looks like he couldn’t even score in the 4th division of Switzerland (on the field, at least)
^^Obviously yet hasn’t signed, and is an uncredible rumour - but hey welcome to off-season.
^^^Based on the aforementioned stats

His one saving grace, is that he’s played for a club called Brusque, which I assume is a Brazilian football club set up and named after our Lord & Saviour, Alex Brosque.

He did play 4 times for 67 minutes for Coritiba in Seria A but besides that he seems very much a Brazillian 3rd/4th div player.

Yeah, I’m afraid just on paper, he makes our Serie D signing look like fucking Messi.

I’m happy to be proven wrong, but this is a clear example of a signing that a local youth player would be able to improve on. Or at least look at a player whom is somewhat closer to home (NZ/Asia).

A local player would know what it meant to be signing for the Jets though.

Doka had come straight from Seria D and turned out well (he was on the books of Santos but never played for them).
