Pro Palestinian protests to occour every time Melbourne City play.
Luckily the start time of A League matches are rarely advertised
City doing anything to boost the crowd numbers at their home games
Perth probably signed this bloke by sheer accident. But he’d be a signing much better for Macarthur you’d think.
Edit: OK, he’s a real nobody. The bloke on I found on Transfermarket was born in 1993…
Either this is a real nifty piece of work from Zdrillic, or they’re going back to the good old days of signing random South Americans who mail in their resumes.
I bet the Perth fans are incredibly excited at the prospect of signing a guy from the Colombian second division.
Surely there are short odds on this guy being the worst import of the season.
Why?
I just assumed Nath’s comment was a joke and treated it as such.
It’s a tongue in cheek comment.
An Israeli player being signed with the current situation in Palestine and Israel right now, least of all the fact City are owned by the Emrati’s…
I mean just because he’s Israeli doesn’t exactly make him a bad person. Someone once suggested I was anti-semitic just because my parents are Polish and openly racist…
Although the irony is that my dad did an ancestry test and turns out he’s 5% Jewish
Thats not whats being implied here.
Sorry, it did sort of look that way. Although with the day i’ve had at work, I may just be going crazy!
Oh, just get her fired already!
Im meeting with our MD on monday. More than likely she’ll be forced to follow my orders for certain things. Bigger win for me
Does anyone think the League is looking pretty good for this coming season? I must admit with all the doom and gloom around the league I thought it was going it was going to be a light on with signings. I’m definitely pleasantly surprised. Some decent signings across the league at least on paper
Could just be the long offseason and every other league already going, but yes, yes i am getting excited for the new season.
I am so fucking ready for this season to start.
It might be the divorce, breakdown of my 14 year relationship and my life being turned upside down in the last 8 months, and the crippling doom and doom that goes with it, but I honestly don’t remember the last time I was this amped for a season of of football.
I remember just a few years ago through COVID, Foxtel pulling out, the league really on its financial deathbed, and us not being able to leave our residences for fear of catching the lurgy, but I remember not being all that excited.
But yeah, I am so bloody keen to get this season underway.
I am also fully prepared^ for the crushing depression that will probably come when we tank our CL2 campaign and somehow become a mid table squad because our foreign quota are, a) constantly injured , b) Not as good as the hype, and we just tank.
^ I am not fully prepared. Inevitably my love and passion for this club will continue to consume and drain my emotional ability to cope.
But fuck it, bring on this season already.
Also bring in Canberra, Wollongong, and several other clubs so we can have a 30+ game season so this off season isnt so fucking arduous.
Been there, keep your chin up and know YOU are you. It’s a big world.
I think ive figured out what it is. This is the earliest in recent history that we’ve filled out most of our roster. It’s probably the best amount of prep heading into the aleague weve had
We’re at the routine “promising big talent goes abroad takes some time to adjust then gets an injury” stage of this movie I’ve seen a few too many times
