I got Hoop Dreams coach - The NBA thread

This Portland/Phoenix game has probably been one of the best games of the year.

Lillard has got to be the most underrated player in the NBA and CP3, at 36 years of age, still showing he has it.

76ers, Nets, Bucks, Hawks all through… Lakers on the verge of elimination

Strange goings on in Boston with Danny Ainge moving on, Brad Stevens moving to the front office to replace him and the hunt on for a new head coach.
They have the makings of a good team with Tatum, Brown, Walker but there needs to be a dominant big man to make them competitive

Nuggets beat the trailblazers

Lakers down heavily in the 2nd with AD out injured (again)

Man, Portland were up by 13 earlier. What a shame. Was really hoping to see them progress. Dame is massively underrated, would have been great to get some finals wins.

Hes the best, a player’s player that is clutch as hell! He’s made it clear that he wants to stay at Portland indefinitely, but they’re in desperate need of a shake up if they’re to go any deeper into future play-offs.

Mark Eaton died in a cycling accident …

Utah v Dallas should be a good series.

You’d think Portland have to land some big names or he will be off elsewhere

Thankfully the Lakers get eliminated. Nets/Suns finals series?

Dame can come to New York any time he wants!

Denver and their Giant Ninković FTW!

Nah, Dame’s not going anywhere…

I had never cared for basketball until the 2016 Olympics, when I actually sat down and watched some games and realised it was not so bad. In 2017 I decided to follow the NBA and picked a team to support. I have nothing against bandwagon jumpers, but the one thing I hate most is being accused of being one.

So in 2017 I looked at the tables for the just-concluded 2016/17 NBA season and I honed in on the Brooklyn Nets, officially the absolute worst team in the NBA. I was keen on being an anti-bandwagoner and I put my faith in the worst team in the land, playing the long game.

This season has been extremely satisfying.

I jumped on Minnesota back in 95/96 because Shane Heal played for them, and with the exception of a few finals appearances during the Kevin Garnett era, it’s been a disappointing run. I look forward to maybe one day being able to enjoy some winning Timberwolves basketball…

Enjoy the Nets success!

Nets have $2 odds to win the Championship. It’s theirs to lose unless the Bucks can sort themselves out

I bandwagoned Minnesota when they had Longley.

Fuck I loved his trade to Chicago.

I started following the Bulls in 2012 when they were almost shit. They’ve been fully shit since.

Chris Paul with 15 assists and no turnovers!

Suns through to the west final with a sweep of Denver.

The other 3 semis are 2-2. Hopefully they beat the shit out of each other and all go to game 7.

But, all 7 teams left make for an interesting story when they win the weird trophy.

Suns look good.

I’d like to see Utah, the bucks (even though i have money riding on the nets) and Atlanta to progress…

Of course …
