Anyone watch the Australia v France game? Great match!! Aussies 5-0 for the first time ever! And with a completely achievable path to the final.

Even the Spain side is not looking that great, despite beating Serbia. I think Australia is favourite to reach the final from this side of the bracket.

Definitely worth tuning ing and getting behind this team.

Andrew Gaze caught in a Brasilian tractor beam.

So the yanks get done by France, bloody hell!!

Boomers into the semi finals. We’re a real chance here with Serbia also gone as well.

Gutted for the boomers. Just couldn’t get it done at the end though.

Boomers?

Australian fucking Turnovers more like.

Hilly knows…

Yes FIBA refs cheat but we had more than enough chances to ice that game

Any word on if Bogut will receive a punishment?

Hearing the reactions of Longley and particularly Bogut was almost as much of a let down as the game itself.

The foul on Bogut late in the 4th was soft, but so was the one at the other end a few seconds later.

We missed our free throws, they didn’t. We wasted the ball on key possessions, they didn’t. We let them get back into the game when we got up big, they didn’t. That cost us the game, not the officials.

Baynes dropped 20 on Memphis!

With 4 threes, the NBA is strange these days

It’s a 3 crazy league.

17.5k at Qudos Bank Arena for Sydney v Illawarra apparently…

LaMelo Ball’s one game in Sydney before going high in next year’s NBA draft.

He’ll go real high from what I’ve seen. Great advertisement for the Next Stars Program at the NBL, and with NCAA dragging their feet more and more, hopefully we get to see more young players of his calibre playing.

NCAA? Isn’t the draft and pathways the NBAs choice?

The more players that avoid the ncaa pipeline the better.

To get into the NBA, the draft is the main avenue for young players. The NCAA (College Sports) is the preferred pathway, however restrictions over College Sportspeople earning an income has started to force some players to consider elsewhere. As Australia continues to grow in basketball, the NBL is starting to be seen as an alternative to the draft. It’s given us some incredible young players this season that could go early in the draft (LaMelo Ball is the clear standout and will be top 5, but Louzada at the Kings is also in with a shout)
