I was passing by Boian Night Chemist in Beverly Hills and wondered how many people notice how funky it is.
I figure there are many such iconic Sydney Shops so lets share our favourites.

Unfortunately my favourite Jizz clothing has already closed down
What are we constituting as ‘old’?
Is the lick-her shop on Oxford Street still operating?
I like this oldish Art Deco in Bondi, the building, the GRILL’D diner at ground level is quite cool & iconic looking too.
Lazar’s Butchery - Petersham - old school butcher - cash only - website? wtf is that?
The smoked sausage seasoned with paprika ( Kolbász ) is to die for. The guy has been there so long he’s seen my kids grow up. Highly recommended.
Love this place. An incredible collection of everything fermented or pickled behind you in that second photo too.
I always forget that when he says shut for Christmas, it usually means he isn’t back till March/April
Assume he heads back to the old country.
When we were kids my brother had this habit where every time we’d drive through Beverley Hills, he’d spontaneously scream at the top of his lungs “BOIAN!”
Fucken weirdo.
I’ve walked or driven past that place a squillion times but never plucked up the courage to go in.
I do love their burgers.
Also they’re running a massive tax dodging operation. Mostly kids behind the counter, cash only.
I wondered who voted them “ Australia’s best hamburgers “?
Honestly, they do an amazing Australian hamburger.
RIP Laziko’s.
In Dee Why there’s Sandy’s Records which I reckon has been there for at least 50 years. I remember my parents’ records having Sandy’s price tags on them in the 1970’s. I have no idea how they’ve lasted so long.
