Refs dont validate player eligibility. Itās up to each team to check the other. Most of the time people dont bother to check.

Might be different in other associations then. In NWSF/GHFA itās always been the teamās job to check cards. The refs will never do it.
NSFA you approve each others match card (electronically)ā¦ you can check IDs if you want but people donāt unless its finals/top of the tableā¦
Once they have been approved, the ref can start the gameā¦ nothing to do with him

Probably would have got away with it against any other team.
But I think this is my real question - did he actually play any minutes and if the opp realised who it was, why did he play any minutes - the whole thing is confusing from this point of view.
Or did the opp only realise like 20 minutes into the game?
I would assume you play because itās funny, but you take a photo and then ādiscoverā who he is afterwards.
The fact that they lost is even funnier.
Youād also assume the situation would be so out of left field that half the players wouldnāt believe it was him. The other half would be questioning it until the very end of the game where they can google. And even then, thereād be a whole load of doubt

You know what, I donāt think thereās a problem with the Arzani thing. Itās a long off season and he was probably just fucking around with some mates.
