Bless you for getting the thread back on track,
Hey, Iâm a simple manâ
Seems victory have broken finances as well.
Wasnât their whole deal with Bonza because they were in a financial hole? And everyone told them it was a bad idea, and then they still decided to go ahead with it, and then Bonza collapsed?
My favourite bit is this:
⢠the Group has entered into both formal and informal deferred payment terms with key creditors, including tax authorities, for outstanding liabilities, and payments to date have been made in accordance with these
arrangements
Now they wouldnât have ever been profitable enough to owe company / income tax, definitely not in recent years with those racked up losses. So do we take it theyâve had to enter to payment arrangements to cover GST and/or PAYG liabilities? Thatâs not good.
Probably PAYG or Super. If theyâre paying out that much more GST in expenses than theyâre bringing in they wouldnât have a deficit I donât think?
It could be FBT, but I didnât think metal buckets were considered a fringe benefit.
These are all taxes collected at a federal level. Given it is authorities, plural, at least one will be a state based tax authority as there is only one federal authority.
One of the agreements will certainly be in regards to payroll tax with the Victorian State Revenue Office. It will likely be a deferral or some kind of arrangement though, rather than a forgivement so they will need to turn around their finances.
Football clubs donât make money.
That may be, but A-League clubs which might have operating costs around $15m p.a. should not be losing $10m in a single year.
