Things not rosey at Manly. Three of their best players informed their coach last night that they have signed with rival clubs and will be going in the window. More to follow apparently.

It appears Patty has made a bad career choice.
How many tries now?
All of those people on the pitch can’t be good for the Italian soil?
I can’t find it or recall exactly, but I think the Italian soil wasn’t even for the pitch (which is artificial) I am almost certain they used the Italian soil for the hill with the tiny super expensive scoreboard on the light rail side of the ground.
The biggest club in the Galaxy, home to the most luxurious, rich and fertile soil, excavated by hand in the foothills of some Italian town, will be playing in both the mens and womens knock out cup competitions this season.
They play Sydney Fascists in the Mens Waratah Cup, and Northern Tigers in the Women’s Sapphire Cup.
Both matches to be held on Sunday 10th September. Unfortunately their Italian soil will be of no use to them, as they are playing at Leichhardt Oval.
Does Sydney Uni not count as an inner west team? Pretty sure they have both a men’s and women’s NPL team. I mean, the men aren’t NPL1.
Booooo, the fascists are up 3-1 late in ET. More Ustase BS coming which will undoubtedly be swept under the rug.
Sydney Uni are mostly based in the East even though theyre officially inner west location wise.
Yeah, Sydney Uni were in ESFA with us when I played for Loko Cove.
In local association sure, but as an NPL side.
Plus, there isn’t really an “inner west” association by that name. From what I know, it’s called Canterbury and overlaps with part of the south-west.
I play Canterbury. Leichardt has multiple teams but dont think i’ve ever seen a Sydney Uni team there
Losing a player at the 38 minute didn’t help our cause. We held on for so long.
My favourite Sydney Uni football memory is a guy playing for them that had been on some reality tv show doing the worst attempt a dive for a penalty, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t blow the whistle to penalise him.
Decades ago when I played for Sydney Uni, the top 2 teams played ‘Federation’ (ie today’s NPL, probably NPL 2 or 3 now) and the lower level teams played in the Protestant Churches comp (which was a huge competition association focused on AA, and all off by itself). Not all the religiously-based teams in that association were from Protestant churches, but a useful rule of thumb was the longer a team spent on its knees or in any other religious ritual before the match, the dirtier they would be.
