I was using Chromecast last year with my phone , this year they managed to get the App downloaded on my Samsung TV , The buffering is only on the A League , i don’t watch anything else where I have to download , ie movies etc.
We mostly watch free to air stuff when we do watch TV ,
Thanks for all the suggestions people , I will work through it and hope to resolve the issue before the end of 22/23 season.
I had terrible issues the first part of last season. Was fine on all my other devices and with other streaming services, but the tv would buffer on paramount+ all the time.
I had my modem moved from the room it was in to right next to the tv and plugged it in to the tv via an Ethernet cable. Not had a single problem since.
FWIW I reckon Optus is worse this season too, using mates spare login and casting from iPhone to TV it is way glitchier than previous seasons. Kayo (sadly) remains the pick of the bunch, even though they’ve got less content and I’ll probably bin that as well after World Series / MLS Cup.
I, too, have had none of the buffering or picture quality issues mentioned above. The matches have been on HD with no interruptions. The only issue I have had is occasional software bugs. I have a P+ app on an Apple TV and sometimes the banner icon for the ALM does nothing if you click on it - no worries, I just go to the Sport section and click away there. Also, if I am in a live game, exit and then try to click on the icon of the next game it also does nothing - no worries, I just exit back to the sport section and then click back into the ALM and the next game icon will work.
Both P+ and KEEPUP are better than last year but both still have the potential to improve.
I have a similar issue with the Android TV app, sometimes I can’t launch the match by clicking on it and need to exit the app completely and go back in. Have also had instances where it indicates that the coverage hasn’t started yet, but it actually has (need to do the same thing).
Likewise. It’s a terrible app, but it seems to Chromecast perfectly fine without any stuttering or lagging. Unsure of what quality it’s coming through at, but it seems to be at least 720p.
It’s weird isn’t it. Literally a list of games you can pick from - but you can’t until you go back to the main screen and refresh that list before it’ll let you change.
Excuse me for again hijacking on something only tangentially related, but again loved the Inside Access with Kuol episode. The quality of general content is just night and day better this year.
Yeah, it’s really good. Thought Monty had a good attitude towards Kuol’s development and opportunity. One of the things I really like about this show is seeing the coaches in the dressing room and getting an idea of how they approach it.
