Random Football Musings

first goal of the Bundesliga season, some would describe it as ‘Thunderous’.

That is a thunderbastard.

Tomas Soucek has the best celebration in world football. He always looks so delighted rather than pumped and angry. I like it.

"Congratulations to Northern Irish side Larne who’s European journey continues after a 4-1 penalty shootout win v Ballkani 👏🏻👏🏻

Larne lost 1-0 on the night to the Kosovan side but as they won 1-0 last week away from home, the game went to penalties and Larne held their nerve to win 4-1. ⚽️

Larne will face Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps over two legs and the winner will qualify for the group stage of the Europa conference league.

Say what you want about the conference league but it is fantastic to see sides from Gibraltar and Northern Ireland be only one game away from group stage European football."

How would a league be decided if over the course of an entire season, not a single goal was scored, every game finished 0-0, there were no yellow cards or red cards given, and no foulds committed.

Aside from it being the most incredibly boring season, how would they decide the season?

Coin flip!

Most corners won?

I’d classify this as a random football musing for the thread.

The Football Manager WC has been on for the last 3 days. 1st time doing this, they played a season per day, over night they’re playing 3rd day/season.

DRAWING OF LOTS!

I wonder if players still shoot at the keeper even if there’s an almost open goal and the keeper is right near one of the posts?

So San Marino just won their first ever competitive match over night, against Leichtenstein

The irony of New York City FC fans calling Miami “plastics” and mocking their club for being phony and manufactured.

Agreed but it looks pretty cool though to be fair

Also, in Miami’s defense, they’ve only existed for like 3 years. Give the locals some time

This is something that comes up in alot of sports broadcasting but is constant throughout a football game.

I’m going to call it Creepy Cam.

Where the camera zooms in on a coach, a player on the bench, an owner in the crowd or someone in the crowd for about 10 long seconds. It feels like I’m Mark Rudan in the bushes or something & makes me slightly uncomfortable that they’re doing the equivalent of staring at someone. The people being zoomed in feel really awkward as well which is why they adopt this poker face. And it’s not just once but several time throughout the game.

I get it’s some sort of “reaction” thing but still creepy AF nonetheless.

I see in my latest FM save that Simone Zaza has been ripping it up for Torino. In real life, however … where the heck is he?

Stutter stepping his way towards a penalty spot somewhere, I guess.

It’s the one where the person doesn’t know they’re on screen for mine… Just wait they’re bound to do something embarrassing

Also Man U… Lol o
