Yeah but you need to remember our defence
Yeah but you need to remember our defence
I reckon it’s a pretty good back line fwiw. Bit of weakness at GK. But overall I suspect the defence may be better now than it was going into the season last year.
Doesn’t lived experience indicate that they will keep releasing more tickets every few days, and on game day, we will find significant blocks being completely empty and a final attendance of around 20K?
Coming up against a deep, disciplined block could be really tricky to break down. Opponents are also likely to be much fitter than either of our ACL2 opponents so far.
We’re also trying to integrate a lot of new key players at once, so I don’t think this game will be a gimme. I think it will be hard work, albeit possible to win.
I always choose to ignore my experience for some reason and am always disappointed when it’s nowhere near sold out. But this time I have progressively seen them sell and it does legitimately seem that most seats are gone.
But you’re right, I’m so used to seeing their upper tiers half full and the crowd is announced as 26k anyway, probably no different this time.
I’m predicting a 15-16 win for us with at least five goals in final extra time.
Only 5 sleeps
and it’s already started raining
Way too much optimism for a round 1 derby.
Gonna get or should it be Anas brot this year?
COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!*
*Of the tickets we sold earlier
Can’t help but feel that, for yet another year, we’ve completely ignored the fact that goal prevention is quite a good way to not lose games. So the question is, will we score more than we concede?
I’m optimistic. 3-2 win.
At least we’re not shoehorning an inexperienced CM/DM into a CB role this time. That in itself is an improvement.
So jumped onto last year’s table to see if you were right and just realised we were join top for number of goals scored and fifth for goals scored against. That’s a really weird stat
Anas
Not gonna lie, getting pretty excited
Fark. Been a minute.

suffered an ankle injury earlier in pre-season after tripping over a stray ball in training
Ahh, he’s Glen McGrath’d himself.
Anybody else think this was Juan Mata at first?
Well they’ve not said if Mata is even fit to injure himself yet.
Wanderers will have to play their third string keeper, so I expect many Redmayne levels of errors from them. 4-2 to us
