There was about five minutes where we calmed down and passed it around a bit. The entire rest of this game we’ve been so panicked and looking to just rush forward immediately. I feel like Segecic in particular has been very wasteful and rushed with his choice of passing.

Sometimes, it’s fine to just boot the ball clear… i am getting fairly bored of watching us playing intricate passes at the back and putting ourselves under pressure.

The compressed shape in midfield & the forwards is giving them plenty of space to just play it up within about 30 metres of goal with no interference also. Edit: Without the accompanying hard press when they get there.
It’s weird how just about everyone feels this way but seems like the coach doesn’t see it. When it’s the premier league and you have the best of the best with golden touches and passing you can get away with it but at an A League level it just doesn’t work.

Yeah it’s like we’re taking an all or nothing approach to pressing. A few weeks ago we were too gung-ho and now we’re too timid. Maybe we shoupd try pressing sometimes and not pressing other times.
