ZdJ should be on a yellow. Apart from that the only other thing of note he did was a good moment of skill on the edge of their box.
I’m one of the biggest advocates of playing our youth but it completely baffles me as to what the club sees in him that they don’t in other younger players that are selected ahead of him in the NPL side.
Put Tyler Williams in a CB and move Grant back to RB would be the way to go for mine.
This is a bit of a league wide complaint, and might just be my preference on how to play football, but fuck me RELEASE THE FUCKING BALL. So many players carrying the ball too long when a pass is a better option. Carry - PASS - move to receive.
I think the decision is clear that we are putting a veteran at CB to partner the youth, otherwise Gurd would likely be starting anyway.

Grant is okay there for now but he’s hardly the guy that should be playing that role given his defensive deficiencies.
Instead we play a guy who can’t make the NPL starting 11. He was kept out of the side by a player who just came off the bench for Brisbane and is a converted RW.
The least we could do is put Will Kennedy at RB.
I don’t think he’s been that bad. I don’t know if any other youth player would be doing particularly better in that position.
Have to presume if he’s not playing in the NPL but is making A-League squads and getting minutes that it’s not that he cant make the XI.
