That guy was rapid. I truly hope all is well.
Even being Red Cross trained, it’s shocking to see the force of compressions from across a stadium. Clap seemed to go up just after a defib was thrown up, so hopefully it did it’s job. Credit to the fans tonight, and The Cove, for their mindfulness of the situation.

31 points from 12 games so far. If we keep this going, surely we’re on track to break a points record this season.
We could even be hitting 70+ points by April.
That is if the ACL doesn’t derail our HAL run.
Ye plus a chance a few players come back from injury, it’s looking pretty thin in the midfield even though we keep scraping results.
Pretty unbelievable the results we’ve managed to get with a good portion of our squad unavailable. Oneill, Ninkovic, Grant, Zullo (for the most part). Goes to show how much quality we have off the bench.
The quality in our CB pairing and the ability for Kosta, ABJ and ALF to create goal scoring opportunities out of nothing is what is keeping us head and shoulders above the rest of the league at the moment.
The build up for the second goal was great, ABJ takes the piss and passes to Kosta, who fakes a shot to leave a defender on the ground and lays it off to Retre to slot it.
Of the two poached form rivals, Barbarouses has enough years of being a very good A-League player that I thought he’d do well with the quality in our side whereas I was concerned about the Baumjohann signing. He looked such a disjointed and uninterested player last season at the Wanderers and had left a few former clubs quickly but he looks a completely different player who jsut looks incredibly happy and as a result is playing so well. Seems to always stand up in their games where Milos is out.
That was one of the best fast, countering, team goals I’ve seen us score since the days of the Polish wizard, great to watch.
Shades of the Brisbane game, yet another goal where we’ve gone end to end without the opposition getting a sniff (it started with a Van der Saag clearing header inside our box). 
Bring good players to a great club, and watch them flourish
Even bring average players to a great club and watch them flourish. How many of us had doubts about guys like Redmayne, Retre and Caceres playing much of a role when they were signed?

He’s so much more insightful. Bozza is toxic.
There was one moment where he lost the ball but immediately tracked back to defend. Last season he would have just stopped and put is head down. It’s similar with Brattan, there were so many occasions last season where he just seemed disinterested, but he’s absolutely bossing it with Sydney. With the latter, I’ll be disappointed to see him go, but Retre looks like he’ll take the reigns quite nicely.
It’s amazing to see players shine with Sydney FC. It’s clear that everyone has faith in Corica and are performing the role that they’re asked to do.
The Brat was an excellent player with Roar,he had good players around him.His level went down a notch at City.Now,he has excellent teamates so he’s lifted back to his best.
ABJ was superb in his early games out West,the Spaniad couldn’t capitalise on the balls that he got fed.Then ABJ was out injured and didn’t get back to early season form.His defensive efforts were not top of the tree,so he fell out of favour.
Both these signings will prove very significant this season.

Glad I waited for a second viewing.
Was all set to give points to the usual suspects, but I ended up spreading the love to the newbies as well (particularly HVDS, Swibel & King).
Of course I had to give a little something to Paulo “he scores when he wants” Retre too.

Finally had a chance to watch the game.
- I thought King was really good. Adelaide weren’t getting much out of attacks down his wing and he did that marvellous thing where it was really easy to forget he was even there. He also seems to be getting more confident going forward.
- I didn’t realise how much it could have been 3 or 4 from us. It’s great that even on a day where our usual attacking players aren’t being too clinical, we can still grind out a win.
- ABJ was really good. It’s clear that he thrives by being the main attacker. I was really impressed with the way that he always felt like he had time to space, even when being man marked and under a lot of pressure.
- VDS was okay. Some small errors but nothing drastic and he can feel proud with that performance I think.
- I’m still not sold on Caceres in those wide midfield roles. I wonder if a more direct attacking player (like Ivanovic or Buhagiar) might be the more effective option in that position when we are down on personell and looking to play a bit more on the counter (like in this game). I know that wasn’t an option here, but something to think about.
Also with Brattan suspended next match - what is our midfield? Retre and Caceres? Give Teague a go as a slightly more defensively minded option?
