The best I can say is…at least we didn’t lose.
We won the all-important xG moral victory
I never thought this team would play a 0-0 draw.

Good result. We were the better team by far and Wellington never looked like scoring. The defence was cool and never really troubled, no major mistakes. Now we just need to win on the weekend and this horrendous scheduling is behind us.
Just frustrating that Uffy is running these players to the ground… wouldn’t be surprised if more soft tissue injuries coming up. Paulo Retre was looking like a playmaker with our defence all over the place
Considering our season so far, a clean sheet is a good result.
Lolley should probably have been rested, or at worst been subbed off at 60 minutes. Leaving him on until the 92nd minute is insane.
I would’ve taken a point before kick-off, but Wellington showed so little ambition that its hard not to be disappointed now.
Annoying game. On the basis of play we should have won.
On the brightside, a draw in Wellington is usually a good outcome. It is a traditionally difficult place to go.
What cannot be excused, once again is Talays substitutions - or lack thereof. What is it with our managers and them playing players for such extremely periods of matches, especially in periods where games come a few days after each other?
We have some of the most talented youth in the country, and aside from the odd exception, they get 5, maybe 10 minutes here or there.
Either Talay (and his predecessors) have no faith whatsoever in our youth, or there’s some sick inside joke with our managerial team.
When plan A fails, plan b is clearly keep playing plan a.
Kurcharski deserves to be at a club playing 90 minutes week in, week out and he’s not going to get it here.
A clean sheet however is a positive to take out of this.
I only caught maybe half an hour of each half, but did Grant put a foot wrong with or without the ball, at CB or at RB?
We’ve got the ACL2 in February so the midweek games won’t be gone for long.
No Grant was perfect, man of the match imo. Made a few brilliant sliding tackles
He was honestly one of the best on the park. I can’t remember any mistakes.
I thought Grant had an ok game at centre back, but things fell apart a bit when he switched, but I reckon it was also a combination of everyone being dead on their feet.
Except the defender leads with his arm and pushes him as well.
It’s a penalty and definitely not one that could have been over turned
I do wonder if he’s carrying some injury that precludes him from playing even close to 90 every week. Then again, this team is absolutely stacked in that part of the field.
He will be getting points from me, but he did make one bad mistake later in the first half when he tried to be clever instead of back passing, and got caught out. Otherwise did everything right.
Jimmy van Weeren must spunk his entire salary on lozenges.
