Round 14 - Sydney FC vs Brisbane Roar

Agree… we have been far, far lower - but for an individual game, which was 100% self inflicted shite, tonight has to be high on the list of

Klimala is a waster, dude just ain’t good enough.

A real struggle to give out the six points today that’s for sure

Klimala is also not up for a physical contest at all. Any show of strength from the centre backs and he has nothing.

Lolley literally flat on his back at the end of the game

Worst striker in our history?

Sometimes I wonder if he’s that good, then I make myself look at his scoring record. About 1 in 2 is a good return, especially if others are scoring as well (Lolley, Sega, Ouahim).

He’s alright, bigger problems. No penalties either.

Klimala seems to have a knack in the box. Given chances he will score. Outside the box he doesn’t seem to have all that much. Not fast enough to properly play off the shoulder. Not strong enough to really be the hold up man. Movement not good enough to unsettle a backline.

Maybe I’m being unfair, but that’s my feeling on him from half a season.

In a dominant team he’ll put away chances. In a struggling team he cant help create many.

Anyone have Arnie’s number?

I reckon he gets way more out of this squad* than what we’re seeing.

*Excluding Sotirio.

Sotirio hasn’t played for at least a year so I wasn’t expecting much tonight nor should anyone else so going in on him is fruitless. He’s not the reason we conceded 4 goals tonight.

So why are we signing a striker instead of a defender??!?!

I dunno. I reckon we should keep playing King. He got a 6.7

I’m not sure how many times in my life I’ve seen so visibly fatigued a footballer forced to carry on as much as Lolley this week.

100%. We’ve had lower ebbs but the RoT kinda crept up and brought some acceptance? with it. The teamsheet atm is good enough to be producing so much better so it’s extra infuriating when we capitulate, even more so when the flatness is so predictable, and then again when we’re bringing on some shitcunt like Sotirio ahead of JK.

I was chewing wasps that entire second half, have never been angrier at a game of ours.

As was said above, i was torn about wanting an equaliser and wanting questions to be asked of Talay and some of his decisions

It’s bad, but I’ve been through worse. The Farina days were horrid.

There are some parallels imo, much like Nicky Carle playing wherever the fuck he wants tonight is at least the third time the players have clawed their way back in spite of the manager.

For this reason, I wasn’t expecting him to make an appearance tonight. One week training with the team is not enough.

I gave Talay the benefit of doubt with his singing and I’ll admit that I thought people were over reacting a bit because I figured we’d rarely see him on the pitch. But playing him tonight ahead of JK has pissed me off.

I remember that. Wedging Carle into a DM role was a crime. I remember how happy I was when he just revolted and then unloaded after the game.

No goals scored in the last game and seven goals scored in this one. I’d say normal service has been resumed.
