Round 15 - Australia's Shame vs Sydney FC - 24/1/25

Doesnt strike me as the deepest thinker if im honest

Nice work getting to the game.

I know he’s been critical previously.
I guess that’s why it’s so disappointing to not see it in one of the biggest games of the year.

The players didn’t even look that disappointed, more accepting of the result that that they had resigned themselves to before a ball had even been kicked.
Almost like it doesn’t matter because they know that there will be no changes come next week because the coach doesn’t do that.

Agree, but to be fair this has been the least I’ve cared about a loss to Victory in years, possibly ever. If we played them 100 times we’d lose 95, it felt so inevitable like I was watching a replay and already knew the result. Seems like the players felt that way too.

Hope the away Cove gives some of the players and Talay a verbal beating if I’m honest, it’s getting to that point. I’d be fuming if I paid several hundred dollars to go down there and was treated to that display.

TBH there hasn’t been much spice on the field in a little while. For the first time ever, now that their team and management just a generic mess of interchangeable nothing, I don’t even know who from their side I’m really supposed to hate?

The fuck-head fan-base, obviously. But on the field?

Arzani and Fornaroli are good candidates for some hate. The rest I have no clue about and are nobodies.

I hate our players & manager more than theirs overall tbh.

Beside the result, the travelling support look good! :raised_hands:

Glad i didn’t realise we were playing tonight. Decided to play video games and drink beer instead. No idea what you’re all complaining about.

All 3 of my Sydney teams lost tonight. Fucking cunts

We had something like 68% possession and our xg was 0.7

Pass it sideways boys, pass it sideways.

You mean the same coach that dropped Redmayne, played King, moved Grant to CB, tried Gurd again, dropped Anas to the bench, gave Quintal minutes and tried Lolley as a No.9?

That ā€œdoesn’t make any changesā€ coach?

He’s the captain, when is HE going to fire up? When is HIS form going to improve? When is HE going to start barking orders?

I’ve thought he’s been a good captain in fairness

Its all well and good changing players but the formation stinks regardless

And backwards. Don’t forget backwards. We got a throw in on the edge of their box with about 10 to go and within 3 passes HDM had the ball.

We were complete shit, barely threatened and deserved to lose, and Talay needs to go.

However clear highlight was post-game, my mate went to piss so was waiting outside facilities when that super fat cunt from the south end strolled by giving it large, singing ā€œfuck off Sydney FCā€.

I clapped, sang, and put my arm around him and sang ā€œForza diabetesā€ in tune. He looked a little
puzzled, but we did a second round, after which forza diabetes was followed by ā€œit’s going to get you, you fat cuntā€. He finally realised and arced up, but then security intervened and sent us on our separate ways before any handbags, oh how I laughed right in his several chins.

Reminds me of that fat bastard at the Wanderers game who got paid out by the travelling Cove fans.

Dude wanted a reaction, he got one even if it was lowest common denominator nonsense.

Quite the finger pointing / stand off between Popovic and Harrison Devenish-Meares after that 2nd goal.

Hear from Sydney FC Ufuk Talay following their match against Melbourne Victory.
