Round 16 - WSW vs Sydney FC - 11/2/23

Which game was that for?

Think we only played them 2-3 times at the SCG, think it was the first one there but can’t really remember. I just remember looking down at the away end and I felt second hand embarrassment at their numbers.

So looks like we sold out our ‘measly’ 4,000 seat away allocation.

Our fans will have to start buying up their seats to help these poor guys crack a 25k home derby crowd.

Last edited by Mack  they do it to themselves, they do.

Pretty sure all his remaining goodwill expired as soon as the shenanigans with Mel McLaughlin surfaced. AAAAAA-LLEGEDLY.

Guys we got a general admission family for 4 will we be able to sit with our supporters. Is that area general admission

Wasn’t their attendance last week at home between 7-8K? And they’re mocking us for being a few short (Not anymore) on a 4K allocation? That’s more than half of their last home attendance.

Unfortunately, the average “neutral” will just take their word for it instead of actually checking figures. They also invite false sympathy based on their “East Sydney fans are white collar and we’re all blue collar” bullshit. If only our players could embarrass them on the pitch like they deserve.

The away bays are not GA, they’re dedicated tickets.

If both teams play well, it’s going to be an absolute cracker. I hope we do em one. The season will be right back on track if we do.

Genuinely excited and looking forward to this one.

If we show we can break down their low block, then I’ll agree we’re back.

I’m not confident.

The teams we have performed well against are the ones that have come out and tried to beat us - mainly CCM and Melbourne City.

Teams that we play poorly against are the one that just defend, slow the game down, and basically wait for us to make an error.

Think the first goal is important, if we score first then the game might open up and that will work in our favour.

Down to about a thousand tickets

I’m going to be around Surry Hills this evening - is there anywhere that will have the game on? The Trinity is advertising that they’ll have an NRL trial on instead

Bugger. Trinity literally has signs up saying “every Sydney FC game live and loud”. Watched the City vs Adelaide game there the other week (when Juande snapped in half) and the lad behind the bar was saying he used to go to games a few years ago and always puts it on…
