Finally we get some depth back. Rhyan and Reza should be available and maybe Van der Linden. Hopefully it will be a good last league game for the season at Jubilee.
Would you start Reza? I could see the argument for chucking him straight in.
Give him a run off the bench. Imagine it’s a big trip from Cyprus and probably needs a little time to settle in. That said don’t drop Ivanovic off the bench for him
From all reports, he hasn’t been playing much in Cyprus. 24 hours of flying and a hard pitch might not be his best introduction to the league, and given our injury count, might be a bit risky. Ivanovic is in form so I’d be leaving Reza out this week to give him a week to train and acclimatise and give Ivanovic some more minutes off the bench.
So we have Caceres, SDJ, Brosque, Calver, and Zullo all out.
Retre at LB? Or do we give King a go there? Keep Brillante at CM despite him being mostly crap, or play Retre or Grant there? Tratty should be back, so he could play RB.
Ins:
5.Jop van der LINDEN (return from injury), 14.Alex BROSQUE (return from injury), 16. Reza GHOOCHANNEJHAD (new signing), 18.Jacob TRATT (return from injury), 23.Rhyan GRANT (return from international duty),
Outs:
7.Michael ZULLO (suspended -1 week), 21.Charles LOKOLI-NGOY (not selected), 25. Joel KING (not selected)
Milos Ninkovic ’s goal against Melbourne Victory was his first goal since the Cup game against Avondale in September and his first league goal since he scored against Central Coast last March. That goal also means that Ninkovic has scored against every current A-League club.
Sydney FC have won the last 7 games against Melbourne City. City have scored 1 goal in that time, while Sydney have scored 19.
Sydney FC have scored in each of their last 28 League or Finals games. This is comfortably a club record.
Note: Appearances and goals only include league games, finals, FFA Cup, OFC and AFC Champions League and Club World Cup.
