When you’re forced to cover for a guy who is caught out of position and is too slow to recover while also having to do your own job then of course you’re going to look bad.
There’s one common denominator in our poor defence this season. Every other player including GK has been changed except for Wilko and the same problems persist.
I was trying to find the last time we lost by 3 goals in the A-league (2016 I think), then that happened.

I said I wouldn’t care about the rest of our results as long as we won the derby, and honestly I stand by that. I am not caring about this as much as I should. We are getting shown up by a team that is head and shoulders better than ours. A part of me would prefer to give CCM/Wellington/Newcastle a shot at finals.

Genuinely thought you were talking there as to why Wilko is struggling while covering for Donachie. Donachie has over a hundred domestic appearances and has never looked close to a top level A-League defender.
Not saying Wilko doesnt now need replacing as a starter - Just that Donachie & Warland don’t look like the answer to me.

Mate this is the A-League. MV were wooden spooners last year and a good chance of top 3 this year. You don’t need that long if you have decent cap.space available which we have particularly if we do the right thing and show the likes of Kosta the door.

Fickle? I disagree. The entire league has worked out how we play and the only bloke who seemingly can’t see that is Corica!
He inherited the best squad in the league and has guided it’s gentle decline as other teams have improved.
He’s not very good.

I mean we lost the final last season and many considered it a poor season. Its a victim of our own success.
Of course Bimbi deserves a season to sort things out (and hopefully develop a new structure).
