Been a general trend in football for a few years now. Basically since they changed the kickoff rule. Not really sure why to be honest, especially for teams who want the ball.

With all these youngins doing so well, I can see a stack of transfer money flowing our way in the next year or so

So long as the factory keeps churning them out, I’m OK with this.

It’ll be like that FM save I had where I’d win the league at a canter, sell 90% of the first team to Europe, replace them all with new young guns, and win the league year after year. Eventually I stopped finding ways to spend money because the youth academy was better than your typical Euro top 4 league, and we had an 85,000 seater that would sell out in the Australia Cup against 3rd tier state league clubs.
