We just re-signed him for two more years, he’s 25% exempt in 2021 and 30% exempt in 2022, so the cap saving is negligible compared to both the size of any likely cut to the cap as well as other players (Kosta, ABJ most obviously) who both cost more and have a more ready replacement behind them.
King has been fine, but he’s gotta be at least another season away from having the attacking game to provide the width that our system (which we’ve already locked in for another season through retention) desperately needs from the full-backs.
