To be fair, we are just as shit in midfield

I hope you’re not hoping too hard.
Fabio having a few shots now. Go on son!
This Iranian ref makes Chris Beath look competent.
Fabio kinda sums us up at the moment.
Good but not great. Largely underperforming. Constantly feels like he’s maybe about to really do something.
Penalty on first look?
I really enjoy what Lacerda brings, particularly in attack. Some good rangy runs and he’s made sure to chase down some balls from set pieces to keep the attack alive.
Too much Chelo Kabab messing with Faghani’s brain.
Faghanis a fucking fraud. 'Nuff said.
Dragged him back and slid in without winning the ball.
Soft, maybe, but you have seen them given.
Are you allowed to put your arms across an opponent like that?
Touches in opp box - Sydney FC 50, Perth 9… About sums it up.
Fabio makes too many runs to the back post rather than running in front of the defender. That aside, I’ve reserved judgement as the service to him has been downright abysmal at times. He’s put himself in to open spaces so often… That aside, he presses well, he’s had a couple of really good touches and when he’s finally gotten the ball, he’s popped off a couple of good shots.
Far too early to write him off as one of the worst imports ever per an earlier post, IMO.
I guess there is a reason he is refereeing this match and not any of the top games this round
Abysmal half from Lolley.
For me, if it was just the arms then I’d let it go.
The bit that gets me is that the defender then slides in and drags the player down without winning the ball. It’s a combination of offences that should result in a free kick (penalty in this case).
Was Fabio reading the forum during the break? Seems to be putting in a lot more effort now.
It’s almost like we are set up to play with inverted wingers and a poacher rather than wide wingers who cross to a target man…
Credit where it’s due, Fabio did well to lay that off
Peak aliga
I reckon that one might go down as an own goal.
Nice ball from Fabio that one.
