Re the Fabio in the air argument. I’d say he looks far better when he’s trying to bring the ball down and get it under control than he does challenging to win a header and get secondary ball to team mates.

Just cos he’s tall, doesnt automatically mean he’s good in the air. I can attest to that. 190cm and cant head a ball to save my life

Fabio is no Bobo, but you gotta remember how quickly Bobo was able to adjust in one season and then destroy it the next one. Will take Fabio a while to adjust still - he’s nowhere near as good or as experienced as Bobo was though.

He had two defenders because his first touch was shit from the ball cut back. He makes the run in front of Fabio to get into the box in the lead up play as well.

If Mak nails the first touch (or hits it first time with his left) he has a clear shot at goal . I don’t think it’s as simple as he should’ve squared it. A single retrospective still frame shot doesn’t tell the entire story there.

Had he squared it and not made the pass he would’ve been torn to shreds for not taking a shot. It goes both ways and I have no issue with an attacker who was basically on the 6 yard line wanting to score.

I agree that a frame doesn’t tell the whole story but I think he needs to have the awareness after a bad touch to ‘own’ the bad touch and slide the ball across to Fabio for a tap in.

Yeah, surely if anything the MLS has run away to being much, much, much better than the A-League.

Half of the MLS has 3-6 players who would be the best paid player in the A-League at the momen t. No way we could possibly compete.

MLS is definitely a stronger league than ALM.

It’s not streets ahead but definitely better overall.
