Maybe this game will make our team give a fuck about defending. It would be nice to see it, at least for one game.

  • We score more goals than them.
  • We defend adequately and don’t have a ridiculously high line that even Snoop Dogg is telling us to back off a bit.
  • We don’t cop a stupid or unnecessary red card.
  • The referee doesn’t lose control of the game.
  • The weather isn’t too hot
  • The weather isnt too cold
  • The grass isn’t too long
  • The grass isn’t too short
  • The grass isn’t overwatered pregame
  • The grass isn’t underwatered pregame
  • The boys have had their Weetbix
  • That Mercury isn’t in retograde
  • The lads didn’t have a third helping of Christmas pud.
  • We don’t wear our third kit unnecessarily at home.
  • The boys are wearing their lucky undies
  • The traffic enroute to the ground isn’t too heavy leading to uneccessary pre-game stress.
  • The traffic enroute to the ground is too light resulting in not enough in-car preperation.
  • The trains are running on time.
  • The swell across the heads doesn’t make for the Manly Ferry crossing to be uncomfortable.
