I was in Mongolia last year and more than a few people i spoke to said they were sick of the Russian tourists because its basically the only place still accepting them. I cant see them arresting him given they’re still so closely tied to them.

Apparently Bali is overrun with Russians now as well.
I mean more likely they wouldn’t do it because they don’t exactly have a good army and Russia, even in its weekend state, would probably role right over them… Going by a quick google, they have 2 Mig-29s a few hundred T54s and 50 T-72s with a standing army of 35,000 including operations personnel. Russia would role through there in about 5 minutes.
Although they’d be at a technological parity when it comes to tanks…
He sounds like a recalcitrant
Bali, Phuket, Cancun, San Andreas, Marbella, Alanya.
Well basically anywhere with sun and warm sea water.
We didn’t see any Russians in Bali recently.
There’s also tons of Russian Mafia in Korea.
We found out walking into a bar near the red light district, bouncer checking out our hand tattoos to see what gang we were in or what prisons we had been to.
Quick chat with him and we decided to head somewhere else.
There was an exponential rise in the number of Russians in Phuket from when I was there in 2022 to when I was there last month.
Gone from no Russian language signage to it being as prominent as English.
Direct Aeroflot flights obviously help, was a bit weird seeing them and the aircrew given they have been banned from pretty much all Western airspace.
Can’t blame the average Ivan of millitary age from wanting to get as far away from home at the moment.
Yeah, I have never seen this many families and young people travelling so much. Just wasn’t in the culture to holiday far.
Most families end up in Turkey and Spain but as of recent, perhaps Tiktok, we are genuinely swarming every place possible.
The shock in my face when there were street grifters on an island in Colombia speaking Russian in order to sell to Russian tourists.
Cancun was fair enough but San Andres was taking the piss.
They’re there.
My mate just came back from Bali last month and was telling me a story about a couple of Russian girls he met. Ended up doing his own special military operation with them.
Many laughs were shared at the multiple euphemisms to describe his experience.
Really random, Byelorussia has now shot down 3 Russian drones in total, after flying over their airspace. You would assume they’d be trying to pull it off as a false flag operation, considering their build up on the border with Ukraine. The vehicles there have gone with the Russian way and are all painted with a B. Whether they attack or not will be a different matter.
While there’s ZERO evidence to even suggest this, considering the general hatred toward the Russian and Byelorussian parliaments by Byelorussian locals, it would be interesting to see if it’s just a rogue AA operator claiming they’re being “overcautious”
A Russian drone just crash landed in Latvia… interesting to see what happens there. The Baltics have definitely been very aggressive towards Russia…
Also reports that Ukraine is steadily reinforcing Kursk for further attacks, while at the same time bringing in heavy engineering battalions to create defences in the area. Looks like they’re in for the long run. If Ukraine attacks, will most likely be to the West of the salient created as they’ve been steadily destroying all bridges and subsequent pontoons that have been built, isolating Russian troops there.
So here’s an interesting development. Putin has indicated that if Western Countries give Ukraine permission to hit targets in Russia with long range missiles, they would be directly at war with Russia. He actually used the word war.
Meanwhile, whispers are that the UK is about to give permission for Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles against targets in Russia. The US has asked for a detailed plans as to how their missiles will be used, with the basis that they’ll also allow it.
Next few weeks are going to be interesting. Although not sure what Putin thinks is going to happen here. The only card he has up his sleave is nuclear threats. If NATO becomes involved, I can’t see them attacking targets in Russia. They’ll just ensure air superiority in Ukraine, hit long range targets, again in Ukraine and allow them to retake all their lost territory. Russia is barely managing against Ukraine by itself, add a few hundred thousand NATO troops… Not to mention they’re suddenly going to have to defend some massive borders in case NATO was to attack Russia.
Probably find that it’ll be like the Bosnian War. NATO will start off by doing “air patrols” and when a few European jets get shot down they’ll start bombing Russian sites in Ukraine but won’t actually fly into Russia.
Russia wants this war, they just don’t realize how badly they’re going to be wiped out from it.
Russia has, in the past few days, launched attacks to reclaim the occupied Kursk region. They’ve been heavily focusing on the Western Portion. Ukraine has used the opportunity to attack from behind them. Reports they’re now penetrated deep into Western Kursk from a new location.
I don’t know the shape of the lines - is there any risk the Ukrainians could be encircled?
Unless there’s an absolutely full collapse, it won’t happen. The current Ukrainian commander has shown that he’s more protective of Ukrainian lives. If they collapse, then he’ll easily withdraw everyone. In general though, the attack from the East could be a bit of desperation. One of the biggest focuses has been south of the river Seym with Russia striking out Eastwards. There looks to be about 3000 Russian troops there, but they’re effectively stranded. Ukraine has destroyed all civilian bridges and Russia is relying on pontoons that are being destroyed within moments of being set up.
Ukraine though, is also now looking to be fighting wildfires. A few have been started near Kiev and Kharkiv as well as the occupied Luhansk Oblast declaring an emergency with a wildfire there as well.
An absolutely horrific image was also recently posted online. Depicts a Ukrainian soldier with arms tied behind his back, lying in the middle of a crossroads impaled by a sword with the words “for Kursk” written on the blade, at that to the war crimes committed by Russia.
Ukraine just hit a massive stockpile in Toropets a town closer to Latvia than Ukraine (500km away from the border). It can hold up to 30,000 Tonne of ammunition, including shells and missiles. The explosion was bright enough it made the night sky look like daylight
