Plus offies too, he’s only been bowling meds for 3 years.

Marnus wont be happy about the bit of medium pace/ bit of spin role being filled
Marnus should be happy he still has a contract
Hell of a catch
Josh Hazlewood out of the Adelaide test with a side strain.
Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett into the squad as cover. Get Abbott into the team I say.
The English fielder just took and claimed a catch against NZ. He caught it but used the ball on the ground to steady himself like Starc in the last Ashes. It was reviewed and given out
In a side note, Kane Williamson has to be my favourite non Aussie player, actually probably even including the Aussies atm
Yeah, not sure how that was given out… seemed to be quite obviously touching the floor when it was slowed down
What’s happened to Jhye Richardson?
You’d think he’d be a shoe in for a Pink Ball Test squad given the way he moves the ball through the air.
Both players called into the squad are over 30 as well. Not really a look to the future given neither of them are likely to get a start ahead of Scott Boland.
I think he has just been coming back from a long run of injuries. He’s been bowling well in the last few rounds of Shield, maybe he doesn’t quite have enough form and fitness yet to be back in the squad.
Abbott and Doggett have the form and wickets in the column, they’re not bad shouts. I don’t think a one off test replacing Hazlewood is much of a glimpse at the longterm future prospects of either bowler. Having said that, I would use this as a chance to get someone in and give them a taste of the test game.
Lance Morris would be a good shot, but he doesn’t seem to have the wickets or game time so far that would suggest he is right and ready to go.
Konstas gets 100 (90) in the PM game. Great innings in tricky conditions.
It’s been very well played. Another audition soundly passed.
Marnus just be shitting his pants. If he gets another decent score and marnus fails again, he could be in by boxing day.
Lloyd Pope here, and Beau Webster in the test squad. Darwin Eagles are everywhere!
I’ll stand by the phone waiting for the call from George Bailey
Matt Renshaw with an excellent 122 for Queensland in the one dayer against Tasmania. It is good to see plenty of contenders for test places scoring tons through the summer.
Change nothing and expect different results from our batting line-up. Wicked.
Whereas India have Rohit and shubman gill to come back.
Starc gets Jaiswal first ball with a pitched up inswinger, and there hasn’t been a follow-up ball in the following 13 overs
No complaints with 4/82 at tea
Boland is fucking rad. So good but so humble. Hope it fills his boots in this test
Good things happen when pitch it up and bowl at the stumps. Cummins could take a lesson from him at the moment.
Sheffield Shield opener watch:
Konstas continues to put the right foot forward, he’s 55* at stumps for NSW against WA.
Cameron Bancroft was out for 1, Marcus Harris went for 26. Matt Renshaw top scored for QLD in a low scoring affair with 59.
A guy who doesn’t have the big wraps but seems to be stacking up the runs is Henry Hunt, 136* at stumps, his second ton in as many first class outings and third for the Shield season.
