Whilst Im on record multiple times saying Id prefer the youth now that Bobo is signed I hope he scores another truckload of goals this season.
We will have an old squad now and it will be how we manage that. Cant imagine we can have Wilkinson, Zullo, Ninkovic, Baumjohann, and Bobo on the pitch together and especially Ninko/ABJ/Bobo will have to be rotated around a bit

This is pretty uninspiring. One thing in Boboās favour I suppose is his game was never based on mobility, which is lucky because he had zero mobility even 3 years ago.
I was never a fan of Bobo. He went missing in big games and offered nothing other than finishing. Weāll need to set up quite differently to how we did with ALF. Do we have the quality to feed a striker who is solely a poacher/finisher?

In the current climate I donāt think itās a bad signing. I suspect itās a 1 year deal and is under the cap?
Known quantity, will score goals and be a useful player to come in and out of the team. He also has been the only 9 weāve had that was banging them in with his head regularly.
I do feel like our club shouldāve dangled the āLiving in Australia is better for your family at the momentā card to draw someone else in but this is reasonable, I guess.
Says an awful lot about how dominant weāve been the last 5 years that we can re-sign probably the best 9 in HAL history and itās still just a tiny bit āmehā.
But in all seriousness, as much as heās 2 years older and so expectations should be adjusted, if we were going to go foreign this is probably about the best we could do given external factors that wouldāve made replacing or upgrading ALF impossible atm.
He knows the club, knows the league, and itās a one year deal on presumably a pittance compared to the marquee deal he left here on. Next year will be the massive transitional one, so weāve got 6 months to prioritise the squad and get the feelers out for our next shit hot #9 if needed. In the meantime Bobo offers something very different, worst case heās a fantastic bench option, best case he delivers and forms a great partnership with Trent.
