Damn, out of nowhere we just saw the last of him. Such a fixture at left back for the past few seasons then smoke bombed. Big chance for O’Toole to step up, and honestly O’Toole has not been bad when featured and can cross a ball bloody well. All the best to King.

Gutted to lose him, looked at the OP yesterday and he stood out as a huge risk being off-contract having just been capped. Obvs can’t be unhappy for the lad and makes sense to get something for him now rather than lose him on a free in July.
With 5 rounds to go of the main league stage, it seems unlikely that the OB will avoid the relegation half of the table (6 points behind 6th), though hopefully they’re far enough ahead (9 and 10 points) of the bottom-two to avoid actual relegation.
Funnily enough, their current LB - Jörgen Skjelvik - was the LB that Gersbach was signed to replace (well, Skjelvik also shifted to CB sometimes) at Rosenborg 6 years ago. He also played alongside (at CB) and subsequently replaced (at LB) Ashley Cole at LA Galaxy. He’s also contracted for another year according to transfermarkt.
Big talent. In past seasons he’s been solid defensively but not the best in attack but this season he’s made great progress in his attacking game. Definite talent so hope he gets good minutes and does well
Yeah you’re getting a good player there. He has strong defensive abilities. A couple of years ago he had some work to do on his game (his crossing and his positioning in defence) but he’s definitely improved both those things.
Do you think he’s likely to get first team minutes with you guys?
Yes, I hope so. If he is fit and agressive in defending and attacking, he will play. Right now we have a left back from Norway, he is good in attacking but poor in defending.
Another OB-supporter here. He should have all chances to get playing time. Skjelvik (whom someone mentioned earlier in the thread) has been rather dreadful this season but has had no real competition in the squad. He’s also somewhat injury prone.
