Sydney FC A-League Women’s Match Day Thread - 24/25

I think it was 10km and 30 mins.

Much more pleasant at SFS than Campbelltown or Leichhardt.

No chance this is getting finished, they’ll call it for us.

It was a pretty nasty storm in the mountains about an hour ago. If its moved in the direction of Leichhardt, everyone might as well go home.

Seems to have been canned, although no-one has told Paramount yet

Was there any confirmation that the result was final?

On Wednesday night, the A-Leagues site said that an announcement from the APL was coming on Thursday (i.e. yesterday). I haven’t seen anything more since then.

It’s the ALW.
It’s hard enough to get confirmation that a game was even played.

Finally the official word has come through.

The 2-0 scoreline will stand, Sydney get the win for the Leichardt lightning game.

And the Sydney conspiracy is alive and well… do the “anti APL FC” idiots in the comments know they are boosting engagement for the league’s socials?

I think it’s an anti-Sydney conspiracy.

They want us down this season, and they waited to see that we dropped points this weekend before determining that it was “safe” to give us the win for last week.

Ladies big blue on now for anyone not aware.

The peach baguetting has commenced and we’re 1-0 down inside 10 mins thanks to a cracking free kick.

Ah beauty, thanks for the heads up. I did forget actually. Friday arvo footy with a cold beer after work. Could be worse

I’ll be honest, this season and this team are not providing the same feels as last seasons have done.

Come on, that’s a penalty. Not even trying to play for the ball there.

Fuck me dead the refereeing in this league is shit.

As the “most experienced women’s ref”, she sure is rubbish

The free kick goal for them was one of the best i’ve ever seen in the comp. Can’t argue against that.

Agreed, it was unsaveable.

Not watching, but Casey Reibelt?

Georgia Ghirardello.

Maybe it’s the grey hair in a ponytail, but I get “school librarian” vibes from her.
