Hoefsloot seems to be very strong in the air, with catches and punches. Also constantly communcating with everyone. Even during breaks. Good to see.

Gus with a big early save from a set piece / header, then we’re 1-0 up after our first proper attack. Kamijo with a good forward ball to Lacey, he cuts it back inside to JK who does JK things, wriggles and cracks one off the inside of the far post… it bounces across the face and somehow stays out, but ZdJ is first to it and loops a cross to the far post which Kennedy then nods in.
Some tidy possession, we’re not afraid to keep it in tight areas.
2-0 and that was some quality direct fitba. 
Played out from a GK, through the middle, was actually Lacey who turned it around the corner for ZdJ. Great run from him picking it up inside our half and hitting the byline before picking out Lacey again with the cross. Header nestles inside far post, we’ve been good value.

Fuck we needed that
Squeaky bum time at the end (lol @ O’Toole), but we hang on 2-1. They pulled one back via a shit penno to give up, very straight ball should’ve been defended better, we then had numerous chances to kill it (incl. JK missing a sitter) before they threw everything at us.
Deserved win imo.

Conceded a soft goal just before half time. Their Brazilian #10 shot from 25m out and Hoefsloot looked to dive over the ball. The referee possibly could have stopped the play in the build up due to a head knock to one of our players after they got smacked in the face with the ball.
Sheesh, should be 2, NFI what Gus was doing from that cross.
And it is 2. 
Suppose the academy is there to feed the first team, looking right on track if we’re going to cough it up cheap, be that open through the middle and then concede a simple chance with no pressure on the ball. Just like last night.
