Why are people typing in names of people who are one or two levels below Diego?

Is it right to bring up Le Tissier?

Did any of these “names” ever train at Wenty? Thought not.

I remember as a kid flicking through a huge coffee style book at my Zio’s place of the 78 World Cup showing close up of the blood on alot of players shins, calves, hammy’s & achille’s. Lenient refereeing was definitely the go in those days & in many ways the catalyst for the very strict refereeing you see in World Cup’s today. Maradona however was left out that squad because at 17 he was considered too young even though he did play in the 79 Copa America.

I’d say Van Basten’s career-ending injuries were the final straw in the effort to heavily sanction tackles from behind, removing a fairly easy tactic to rough up talented ball players.

Two of my favourite players in two weeks gone. RIP Paolo and please look over Dino Zoff below.

So sad to see Pablito go. Another great footballer from Prato - as is Diamante.

Bloody hell. He broke my heart in that incredible 1982 game. It was the first time I ever partook in that Australian football ritual of getting up in the middle of the night for our fix.

RIP.
