It’s a bit of a weird one.
I mean there’s absolutely no way his job should be in danger and I highly doubt it is. This is the first time in his managerial career that he’s faced some form of scrutiny and criticism though so it will be interesting to see how he handles it especially considering it will be coming from the English media.
With all of their resources an injury to one player really shouldn’t see the gameplan go out the window but it really does look like Guardiola doesn’t know what to do at the moment. Given he is known for over thinking the biggest games that he’s managed he runs the risk of really shitting the bed and over complicating the solution. Maybe he already is?
He’ll probably just buy Martin Zubamendi in the January window though and come April Liverpool will get nervous and City will overrun them.
His signings haven’t been great in recent seasons
To be fair to them they also haven’t had Dias and Stones together for a while right? Take the first choice defensive pair and starting 6 out of any top team and they will struggle. Even then this run is pretty extraordinary.
I’d disagree with that. They should have enough backup with the amount of resources they have, that losing a CB shouldn’t be the end of the world.

I can’t really see him going to Saudi yet. He’s still got at least 3-4 years of decent quality talent left in him. Can see him maybe doing a two year contract somewhere else, before going for a massive payday.
Edit: My bad, just saw that he’s demanding a 3 year deal. Would be the main reason that Liverpool is hesitating at this stage.
Tbh if the money’s doable the club should sign that shit ASAP. Milk 2 more years out of him and then milk a fee from the Saudi’s. Potentially letting him go on a free would be the dumbest shit ever.

Newcastle were good and draw was probably the fair result. Nunez killed me more with the stray simple 10 yard passes in buildup than anything in the box. Jota can’t be fit soon enough.
