That’s it. Call the season. Pack everything up.
Going to be an interesting finish to the season.
In terms of who plays who, Arsenal have to play both Liverpool & City. The way all three teams have been playing you’d assume that those results will very likely decide the title.
Anyone but Arsenal
Liverpool don’t play Arsenal again, already had a draw at Anfield just before Xmas and then Arsenal celebrated winning the league at the Etihad a month ago.
For some reason google had a rescheduled match still pending!
Liverpool really needed to win to put some pressure on City. Here on out and with the remaining fixtures cant really see City dropping more points than Arsenal/Liverpool. This is the remaining:
I live in Islington (the borough Arsenal is located in) and it’s crazy on the women’s matchdays to see how busy it is, and the vast majority of the crowds are female.
The area is around 53% female and the locals seem to have really embraced the women’s side, they seem to be attracting people who support a different men’s side too. Even my girlfriend who doesn’t support Arsenal is talking about going to games (we’ve been to one last season, a sell out against Chelsea)
In the last 18 months as well, I can see the culture really changing, large groups of women wearing colours are filling out the pubs on matchdays.
It’s interesting how Arsenal have been so successful tapping into the local area compared to other sides. Spurs for instance play most games at Leyton Orient and struggle to pull 2k there.
Fuck, I miss Angel.
What a place, the walk to the stadium is always worth it on a clear day.
Love Angel, I just moved from the middle of Angel to Barnsbury, just in behind Highbury and Islington station. My office is still in Angel though.
Arsenal seem to have a trickier run in. Can actually see Liverpool regaining outright top spot in the next round of fixtures. But still see City winning it from here.
Every Man City/Pep vs Liverpool/Klopp game is absolutely exhausting. The levels that these two teams reach are parallel with the Madrid/Jose Barcelona/Pep era for me. Just football at the the absolute pinnacle, and the consistency of both teams means any drop in points feels catastrophic. Less so this year, but pushing 100 points every season in the toughest league in the world is incredible.
I had genuinely high levels of anxiety all day after watching the game.
Champions league might kill city if they go deep again.
Either that or they’ll go on another crazy run and not drop another point all year.
Ha - one of my best mates lives opposite the plimsoll pub near the Emirates.
that would probably make statistical sense…
It’s quite nice seeing families on the Overground going to Arsenal Women’s matches. They’ve done really well as a club.
Gone to a few Spurs Women’s matches, would love us to get numbers like Arsenal one day.
That’s around the corner from me. I live at 59 Drayton Park, Arsenal’s address is 75 Drayton Park.
He’s on St Thomas’ road… haven’t been there in years… and I was shit faced leaving that pub so have no idea of the number of his gaff!
Coventry score in the 97th and 100th minute away to knock Wolves out of the cup.
Anyone else unable to get an FA Cup stream?
Jesus fucking Christ Paramount is garbage
You’d wanted to have watch the United v Liverpool game… wow
The return of Fergie time?
