The travelling circus: stadia discussion

Might have to have a Bay 32 SFCU meet and greet :sunglasses:

View from “The Clubhouse” section (3 bays in the second tier, NE corner). Excellent sightlines and a dedicated bar area behind. All seats have cup holders.

3 from the back, I think.
Heavy sedation required if you meet my crew!!

Solved the mystery of the angled seats behind the scoreboard… slightly obstructed.
This was about halfway up the angled seats maybe 3 from the back.

For Cove folk there is a small bar behind Bay 21, but the main food/drink behind 24 and 25.

I’m really starting to think that this was the way to go. My sideline views are great, but that experience just seems really interesting.

That sounds perfect I reckon, dry but still close to the pitch. We’ll say hi when we come back looking for shelter when it inevitably pisses down at our opening match.

Yeah, decided to go for it because it’ll be my first season taking an unpredictable small human and the idea of a GA section with dedicated facilities seemed like a smart option. Was worried about the sun given its on the eastern side, but the northern roof cuts most of it out.

Cheers to the new stadium. $11 beers and cup holders in Bay 234

The club would be stupid not to come out with branded flasks for the season

Still a bit confused by the roof coverage. In this Insta video, the drone is above the stadium, more or less in the middle but the seats appear extend a lot further than the Perspex part of the roof.

Most likely just a perspective thing.

100% a perspective thing

Given that the roof is directly above the front of the stand, the first 5-6 rows will probably get wet during heavy rain with some wind… a dome would have been fantastic but probably too expensive.

Missed opportunity to be entirely subterranean. The molemen have it right.

Tbf it was laid in winter, not the best time to establish turf. With a month before the season kicks off and warmer days around the corner, I’d say it’ll be looking primo for the opening match.

I went with the clubhouse, as I wanted a dedicated bar and chill area before games. I asked if I could easily access the Cove but membership wasn’t sure. I assume thats just niceties and it’s no issue for most games if you want to get involved. It just seems like the perfect compromise between a nice bar/chill pregame area, the Cove and Cove Heights.

My main issue is bringing mates to games but will prob get them Cove tix and just assume it’s open access like it used to be.

Fixed.

We went with clubhouse as well - looks really good. Shane mentioned that they’ve sold about 260 of the 900 seats so should be pretty roomy up there too.
Cup holders ftw.
