I can understand they want to be “well 'ard” and all that crap. I don’t agree with it but they’re dumbarse kids. It’s more the fact of, walk into the pub, the running straight out. I mean what did they think was going to happen? Were the Melbourne supporters just going to sit down and let themselves be pummelled? It’s just fucking weird watching them go in and then run away 10 seconds later
I remember that day. Was outside the pub as they approached from the station. A large number of them went past, but as soon as a few pranced across the street, i took my self in side and ordered another beer and sat at the back inside.
Fuck that. Saw him in Surry Hills before the Victory game (with Calver and Blackwood among others). He asked me for a spare chair and I gave it to him. Should have thrown it at him.
Classic WSW press release areas emphasising that he was born in Auburn and barely any mention of his connection to “the club’s cross-town rivals” (whoever that might be)
ok so what are you expecting them to do? Are we expecting them to do a full press conference of:
“WSW sign player that was mentored and developed by cross town rivals. He played for them as they were his childhood club and loved them growing up. Now he’s settled for WSW”
I mean people talk about us living rent-free in their minds, but sometimes it’s not that much different. I don’t think i’ve seen any press conference that’s ever talked about, in any considerable sense, of previous clubs etc. Definitely not one when it’s a derby rival. Seriously…
It’s a normal press conference. I’m all for bringing them down, but lets at least do it in justified cases. I mean it’s the equivalent of laughing at them for having an accounts department…
