Yes,JPD was shafted in favour of Carlo. That was on the back of half a season at the Jets where he appeared to turn them around.
One of the commenters on that TV series suggested Uffy to come in,I’m sure he would do an excellent job IF it was offered and he accepted.
Baccus is back in a game or 2 and he provides good link balls,Hemed is a seriously good player. All they have to do is give him service and they could be top 6.
Kind of odd that guy is so worked up about losing to Macarthur because they are the ‘new kids on the block’ when thats exactly what WSW did… came and did well off the bat because there was no ‘legacy’ players at the club and and a bunch of short contracts that can be kicked at the end of the season.
I mean you’re talking about a group of supporters that still claims that the FFA owns SFC and does everything in their power to assist us, despite the fact that they ACTUALLY were owned by the FFA that have them extra cap space and international spots when they were first formed and then refused to push through any punishment when they’re supporters were being pricks… The same supporter group that actively lets off flares, tries to pick fights with anyone and everything and then complains that the Police are being mean…
Few weeks ago I posted about WSW mates who left the round 1 derby at half time. One has a weekender at Avoca so we planned a sneaky pre-Xmas trip that for them coincides with CCM away tmr. Last time we were up there worked out great for me to get to the SFC game (2-2 draw back in April) that they couldn’t be arsed going to, so I was really not looking forward to getting dragged to Bluetongue for a second week running to watch their mob tomorrow afternoon.
There was a slight hint they weren’t that keen for the game due to cracking beach weather, but they still probably would’ve gone because pubs won’t be showing it, instead I errr very kindly offered up my Paramount login and they took the bait.
So, 2 formerly keen WSW fans. One got an RBB email address, the other actually met his wife in the RBB. We are gonna be 20mins down the road from the stadium, but instead of getting dragged we’re hitting the beach and then just kicking back with a cold one to watch it on couch. Thanks Paramount.
(I am then hauling arse from Gosford straight to Kogarah on Sunday afternoon due to having scant regard for my own mental health).
They have been so well played by the marketing of the club it seems some people still actually believe this line and repeat it ad nauseum in 2021. “We’re not like the rest, we’re different and special and better.” It’s a deadset complex.
“But with that style of the RBB, it’s a pride thing. Pride in the terrace itself, sure - never give in, never back down, if you sing songs about it, then you have to live it - no stupid banners, no sitting down in silence- but also pride in western Sydney- we’re not like other places, the red and black are out there so even if it’s a dogs breakfast we back them, because everyone else hangs **** on us but we don’t hang real **** on ourselves.”
I was at the ground last night and to be fair, the RBB, while they didn’t have the largest showing, went pretty hard in very unpleasant conditions for 90 minutes while their players put in an absolutely putrid performance.
Gained some begrudging respect from me as I wolfed down hot dogs in the grandstand.
