you’re a genuine fruit loop.

He greatly improved an awful Nix team. He jumped over to a new McFranchise and did well. He’s been sacked once.
Friends of ours have a son in the Wanderers U20s squad.
His parents went to watch them play last weekend at Blacktown, and noticed Mark Rudan lurking around.
At half time Rudan went into the sheds, and when the boys came back out for the second half, instead of warming up and preparing to be subbed on, the mum noticed (as mum’s do) her son sit back down, head down. Something had clearly happened.
Apparently (and this of course is third hand info at this point), Rudan ripped into the whole team, basically saying that every single one of them were shit. Complete demoralisation of the team.
Now I’ll admit I don’t know how coaching setups work at their club, and I recognise that a good old fashioned spray from the coach can be character building, except…Rudan isn’t the U20s coach.
As it turns out, the actual coach, and the head of the coaching department were far from impressed. They had no idea he was even at the ground, hadn’t invited him into the dressing room, and certainly hadn’t asked him to speak.
If true, I can easily see how he lost the dressing room when he was at Western United.
Not saying the 2 things are related, but is there a reason GVE did the Derby post game press conference instead of Rudan?
That’s just piss poor leadership that is.
it really is shit leadership. I mean there’s a way to fire-up a team without telling them they’re shit…
maybe he told them if they played like that then they would make it into the wanderers first team. That would be enough to demoralise anyone.
He did exactly the same thing when he was coaching Sydney United.
Surely that would be classed as assault?
Thing is, they already know they’re shit on account of playing for wsw youth.
Worst part is that this particular friends kid was with our youth program originally, and moved to the scum about five years ago thinking he’d have a better chance breaking through to the big time with them.
Personally, knowing what this kid is like, I think his main challenge is attitude not talent or competition against his peers; but still, in that moment, I bet he wished he was back at Macquarie.
I mean in fairness, it’s easy to break into a first team when the first team is crap
I heard that he started his rant with “Listen Fuck-faces!”
I firmly believe they made a mistake sacking Robinson when they did. Too early in the season to judge his success and he was probably as good as any coach they’ve had since Poppa and winning the ACL.
I’m not convinced. Robinson was great in front of the press, he said all the right things and had good intentions but he wasn’t able to actually put his words into action. The reality is that any coach at the moment will struggle there until they sort out the systemic cultural issues that the club is riddled with. Adding Rudan, who clearly has a toxic side, was a strange move though. Like throwing petrol on the fire.
Cheers, mate.
That would explain the antidepressants.
CCM Academy beat WSW Academy in the NSW League 1, 4-3 in the last minute of injury time.
I wonder if another inspirational talk is required?
