Yeah if its as I think and theres a monetary value on it or theyre giving a what most clubs are claiming on the loyalty then its not really a cap boost. I initially interpreted it as 400k boost on top of the cap which seemed like an artificial attempt to make the clubs successful from the get go.

The article itself mentions a 200k cap thats being potentially removed but is that being removed for a unlimited loyalty or removing the concept of the loyalty?

  • Loyalty Players – A Club can spend up to a collective $200,000 across any number of Players that have given 5 or more consecutive seasons of service to the Club. A portion of a Loyalty Player’s contract value is excluded from the Salary Cap based on a progressive scale from 25% (5th continuous season) to 50% (10thcontinuous season onwards);

Hamill to WU,according to the Herald…I suppose they need some left right outs.

They sure have a number of CBs now. If Rudan is taking over, they could well play 3 or 5 at the back, depending on your take on things,

Surely Calver can look at all their CBs and realise hes better off with us (I know his deal is signed and not getting out of it)

He’s head and shoulders above most, if not all, of them.

Finally announced Kurto

If were trying to fit them into a 3-4-3

Kurto
Calver Hammill Gulum
Risdon-Kone-Chapman-Pierias
Pain-McDonald-Pasquali

Bench: Delianov, Aspro, Cavallo, Yuel, Stamatelopoulos

It’s clear not all the pieces of the puzzle have been put together yet. They don’t have a left back as far as I can see. I see Pierias’ name come up a bit at left-back but I don’t see much evidence, if any, that he actually plays on the left. I don’t know what Cacace’s contract situation is but if he’s coming off-contract, I can think of a lot worse options in the league for that position. They may even go for a loan option there if a good opportunity presents itself.

Yeah I list him there solely because theres no one else for it yet. With 3 visa spots too, Im sure one of those is going to a left back. Probably also another on a forward/winger which might be the other marquee too.

And whilst Ive written out a 3-4-3, Nux often played more of a 3-4-1-2 with Burgess/Singh a bit withdrawn. Pasquali probably fits that role. (that all assumes Rudan plays the same system)

Depth wise they also missing someone like a Retre as a very proven versatility man.

I’d probably pick Kone over Pasquali for the more advanced role, but I suppose Rudan could give them both a chance in that spot to see who fares better. Kone would be a far bigger goal threat, though, hence my selection.

Given how important wing backs are to Rudan’s current system, and given how rare good domestic left backs are, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go a foreign LB. Alternatively, they might want to see if Gersbach is available and in need of game time.

Cacace has been very impressive this year. Hard cos he would need a visa spot. Gersbach on loan would be a great option for them.

Would be a great option for us as well

We’d be signing him as a backup for Zullo. Rather give those minutes to King.

Burgess to follow Rudan

LOL @ the savage dismantling of Wellington’s side.

Burgess looks good but he came off the bench quite a bit til late in the season. They did well with Kurto, but that’s a 1 year deal for you. Try for another similar keeper.

If they are the only 2 players Rudan grabs, I think Phoenix can be quite pleased.

I imagine they would be keen on Krishna.

And Williams

Rudan finally to be announced tomorrow:

And because they dont have enough CBs hes wanting to bring in Durante too
