Where are they now?

The temp was hovering around zero. So I’d say probably tomato rather than beetroot.

Buhagiar cut from his Serie B Italian team after only 14 minutes of game time

It’s amazing that he ever got a contract there.
But the blistering pace is so beguiling. Coaches just think if they could tame that, it would be irresistible…

It is wierd though ‘contract terminated’ seems like something happend

Anyway good on him. At least he got paid to live in Italy for a while. Half his luck. Interesting to see where he ends up

Would have taken him over sotirio…

That’s just the tweet. The actual statement from Brescia sounds more like a mutual:

Brescia Calcio announces that it has reached an agreement for the consensual termination of the contract of the footballer Trent Anthony Buhagiar.

The club wishes Trent good luck for the rest of his career.

Apparently (according to a Maltese football twitter account) he is off to Kapaz in Azerbaijan?

The world of football is ruthless…

Yes it is ruthless, but honestly I didn’t see it happening any other way. He is barely good enough for the A-League so no chance he’d be good enough for Serie B.

Speaking of away Big Blues, the legendary Beau Busch is now the President of FIFPRO Asia/Oceania, to go along with his role at the PFA. One of the Vice Presidents is Anna Green, also a former Sydney player.

Would be more amazing performance if he appointed Mitch Prentice, Rob Middleby and Golec as his vice presidents.

Might sound a bit silly but what exactly what he do in this role? Would there be enough work to be a full time gig?

Given Asia includes the likes of the Gulf states, you bet your arse he’s going to be busy.

FIFPRO is a grouping of national player unions, so I imagine it’d be similar to his PFA work but on a regional scale. Probably can’t be a full-time role by definition (if he needs to be on the PFA executive to be eligible), but I’m only guessing…

He was always hinting at doing that. Part of the move to Mumbai was so he could start that process.

Matthews straight in at the deep end, debuting as a strater at home vs Millwall :grimacing:
It shows they rate him highly, but it’s a ruthless business out there and if he doesn’t kill it, he’ll be cast out with no ceremony.

Do well, kid.

Half an hour in and it’s still 0-0
